Most students who are from engineering, commerce or nonart background find it difficult to have the right approach towards studying each subject of GS and also optional. So the 1st thing the aspirants need to get is basic fundamentals correct for which reading of NCERT is a must . NCERT 's provides for a basic lucid explanation of all important concepts. So before moving up to standard books a thorough reading of the NCERT textbook is a must.
Aspirants should also seriously follow last year questions paper to know what kind of questions are asked and try to understand the requirement of the subject from an examination point of view.
Along with this aspirants also mind limiting their sources for the subject and revise them multiple times rather than having multiple sources and not even doing one properly.
Also, try making your own short notes for easier revision and better retention purposes.
